186_ Morrison Farm Oil Stock Certificate--RARE ERROR certificate with stub

Offered is this super RARE late 19th century oil company stock certificate WITH an ERROR (only one N in Pennsylvania). Shops and sitesthat have had this rare certificate available have offered it in the 0-0. This particular item also has the stub attached which is a seldom seen feature also. This certifcate features a nice double vignette and includes a great,detailed view of an early oil field complete with wooden derricks, a train on a siding and wagon loads of crude in barrels.
Incorporated December 1865 in Pennsylvania, this company had its headquarters in Rochester NY but had oil drilling in Venango County, Pennsylvania.  The original enterprise was part of the oil rush in the 1860's but little is known as to whether they succeeded or failed. The PA state archives has documents relating to the company up  to 1865
