    1895 RHC 'BELFORT' COMPLETE ENTRY MORTISE SET  - BLUMIN F-21110 AWESOME! (9544)
    Fantastic full set, perhaps the nicest pre-1900 entry set we have ever had!  Includes the strikeplate, knobs, plates and lock cylinder with four keys!!!!   1899 Reading Hardware COURTRAY entry set.  Blumin Reference B-21110.
    Vintage, cast brass interior knobs and plates and cast bronze exterior backplates, and knobs!
    The set consists of two matching brass backplates, two knobs, and the connecting shaft as shown as well as the RHC 1700 1/2 mortise lock, a vintage RHC brass lock cylinder and two keys and.... the matching strike plate.  Works perfectly!  Wonderful patina, very nice detail.
    MORTISE FACE:
    The mortise lock has a heavy brass face plate length of 9 1/8" and a width of 1 3/16" wide and 1/8" thick.
    MORTISE BOX:
    The mortise lock box is 4" deep from the outside edge of the faceplate to the back of the box.  The box is 6 3/4" high.
    BACKSET:
    The backset (the distance from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the center of the knob post) is 3".
    DROP:
    The drop (the distance from the center of the lock cylinder down to the center of the knob post hole) is  4 1/2".
    BACKPLATES:
    The brass exterior plate measures 16" top to bottom and 3 1/82" wide at the widest point. The interior cast brass backplate measures 10 1/8" top to bottom and 2 3/4" across at the widest point.
    KNOBS:
    The exterior knob is cast brass and oversize in that it measures 2 1/2" in diameter while the brass interior knob is the standard 2 1/4".
    STRIKEPLATE:
    Amazing that the strikeplate is included, wonderful and uncommon piece that fits the lock perfectly.
    One of the finest complete sets we have ever had, hard to believe it is more than 120 years old, works perfectly!
