    This is a nice, original stock certificate for ten shares of the Monterey Park Petroleum Corporation California. Stock is in the name Charles J.W. Saunders, who served as mayor of Dubuque from 1891 to 1893 following the resignation of Robert W. Stewart. Also contained is a letter detailing financial conditions and trade opinions of possessing the stock. Very scarce stock certificate! Signed by the Assistant Cashier, President, and Secretary of
    Monterey Park Petroleum Corporation.

    Both pages have two vertical creases to the stock and letter. Small corner crease upper left. Mild wear at edges.
