Description
An attractive World War II double censored cover mailed from Delgany, Ireland and addressed to Ridgefield, Connecticut and forwarded to Shelton, Connecticut. Franked with an Ireland ½ penny and a pair of 1 penny stamps which are tied to the cover by Deilgne postmarks dated October 27, 1942. On the reverse is a forwarding machine cancel from Ridgefield, Conn. dated December 9, 1942. On the right end is Irish censor tape: "AN SCRÚDÓIR D'OSCAIL OPENED BY CENSOR 3". On the left end is Allied censor tape: "OPENED BY EXAMINER 9094". This cover measures 151mm x 94mm. See scans for condition.Please read shipping information below for
