    Description

    This is an antique bronze door entry set c1890s manufactured by P.F. Corbin, New Britain, CT.  The mortise face, backplate and rosette were all painted and I was able to successfully remove many layers of old paint without damaging the patina on the bronze.  The experts tell me that this is a very high quality set and very desirable due to its condition.

    *Backplate (Colonial pattern as shown in the 1895 Corbin catalog) 2 1/4”w x 9 1/8”h
    *Mortise case (stamped with the PF Corbin logo and Patent date June 19 1889) 4 1/4”h x 3/4”w x 2 3/8”d, face 1 1/4”w x 6 3/8”h x 3/16” thick
    *Rosette 2 3/8”w
    *Strike plate 2 1/4”h x 1 3/4”w & 1 1/8”w
