ANTIQUE VINTAGE VICTORIAN DOOR HARDWARE: LOCKWOOD "BROKEN LEAF" PATTERN SOLID BRONZE CAST BACK PLATE 1887.  Very ornate solid bronze back plate in "Broken Leaf" pattern by Lockwood in very good condition but at over 130 years of age she is "as is".  Please note the pictures as they are part and parcel of the description.  Very beautiful Art Nouveau/Art Deco style that dominated this historical period.  This back plate measures out at 5 5/16" x 1 7/8".

PHILOSOPHY: My passion is to help restore these iconic door knobs/plates back into American homes where they will continue to witness to the skill and artistry of our past craftsmen/women.  I employ a 5-step cleaning and polishing process that removes rust, paint, lacquer and other debris.  The cleaning products are harsh, costly and require protective equipment.  I use dental tools, special brushes and various shop tools in the process.  All that is required on your end is to occasionally polish your hardware with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.  Enjoy and God bless the USA!
