    Antique Fancy Rim Box Lock Working w/Key & Keeper "N.S.H.Co." c1885 Unusual
    Description
    This antique rim lock was manufactured in the late 19th century. The lock has a Victorian vernacular geometric design at the corners and leading edge, which is matched by the antique keeper. The initials "NSH Co" are emblazoned on both sides, and one side retains much of the  the original copper "flashing".  Cast iron, the lock designed to be mounted on the face of your door (and can be mounted on the left or right hand - just ask us how to reverse the bolt). There is a locking night-bolt on the top. This lock is in very good working condition with the antique key. Rare and collectible.
    Antique NSH Co. rim lock measures 4 1/4" wide by 3 1/4" tall without keeper (keeper is 3/4" wide). Back-set (from edge of rim lock to the center of the doorknob shaft) is 3 1/8". Back-set to keyhole is 1 1/2".
