Description
This collectible rim lock was manufactured with the name "Triumph" worked into the vernacular design. Made in the late 19th century, the lock has a Victorian pattern at the corners, and an fleur-de-lis at the center. Both sides of the lock retain the original copper "flashing". Cast iron, it's designed to be mounted on the face of your door (and can be mounted on the left or right hand - just ask us how to reverse the bolt). There is a locking night-bolt on the top. This lock is in very good working condition with the newer key. Quite rare.
Antique "Triumph" rim lock measures 4 1/4" wide by 3 1/4" tall without keeper (keeper is 3/4" wide). Back-set (from edge of rim lock to the center of the doorknob shaft) is 3 1/8". Backset to upper keyhole is 1 1/2".
