    Balloon print L’ascension De Tessu-Brissy a Limoges en 1786 France By Charles Dupont Original hand colored print poster from @ 1790s. Very similar print hangs in the Smithsonian museum on aeronautics. The idea of flight by humans was so intriguing at the time it drew widespread attention and reaction. Posters similar to this one were printed and spread throughout Europe. Many products were marketed with the inspiring art images of balloon flight. Tessu- Brissy actually made this balloon voyage sitting upon his horse.
    Size: 9”w x 13 5/8”ht
    The white border appears trimmed and there is age related tonning. Regretfully it dissects Duponts name printed lower left. No tears folds rips or stains. Shipped with USPS First Class package.
