Large Antique Heavy Cast bronze / brass plaque cherubs putti sleeping angels

Description

Fabulous plaque, weighs over 6 pounds.  Signed / stamped by maker, which while not legible - appears similar to Metallic Compression Casting Company of Boston's stamp; used on their bronze plaques.  (MCCC - 1870s).  Similar plaques have sold as follows:  (This design) for 8.00 (as part of a framed pair which sold for 6) Entitled "A pair of cast bronze plaques with raised decoration of Putti" at an Auction Gallery in England in 2016.  This design also sold as a framed plaque titled "Napoleon III Bronze Plaque", (third quarter 19th century), Individually, for 3.00, at
an Auction Gallery in January of 2020.
