    Old African Currency - Prestige Knife - VERE / DADIYA - North Eastern Nigeria
    Forged iron.
    Cm. 64,0 high (25.20″); weight: grams 642,0 (16.30 oz.).
    These knives were used as a means of barter by Vere and, above all, by the Dadiya, an ethnic group on north-eastern Nigeria.
    Composed of a blade in wrought iron and a handgrip made of an iron strip wound into a spiral, with fan-shaped tooling.
